Powow logo

Powow creates web sites, web applications and iPhone applications, and was founded in 2008 by Rolf Bjaanes and me.

The word Powow is a derivative of the Native-American word "pow-wow", meaning a gathering of North America's Native people. The name was chosen due to the nature of the company; we saw Powow as a meeting place and the enabling force that helped companies and businesses communicate with their customers through the products we developed for them. To reflect this, the logo both illustrates a cog but also a table where people meet (the red dots symbolizing heads).
