Fjord1 Photo Album

Fjord1 Nordvestlandske is a Norwegian transport conglomerate, formed in 2001 by the merger of Møre og Romsdal Fylkesbåtar and Fylkesbaatane i Sogn og Fjordane. The company itself is a holding company for its numerous subsidiaries. The company has 75 ships, 394 buses and 147 trucks and transported 24 million passengers in 2005.

Fjord1 wanted to celebrate their 150 year anniversary by inviting their passengers to submit photographs from and of their boats and numerous quays. Oktan developed the concept and design, and hired Powow to develop and program the Flash and server-side software to bring it to life.

The website was programmed in ActionScript 3 by me, and the server-side solution was programmed in Ruby by Rolf Bjaanes. I was employed at Powow when working on this project.
